Pafko, Four-Time All-Star, Dies at 92 in Michigan
Andy Pafko, famed outfielder and fan favorite known for diving catches and a key role in the 1951 playoff history, died at 92 after battling Alzheimer's. He played with Jackie Robinson for the Dodgers in 1951 and with Hank Aaron for the Milwaukee Braves 1954 59. He was part of the famous Thomson shot moment at the Polo Grounds.

Men charged in Craigslist murder over selling pickup truck
William Apps, 25, was lured in downtown Charleston on Oct 3 to Mount Pleasant, where he was abducted and killed during a truck sale. Juan Margel Scott, 19, and Isaac R. Williams, 20, face murder and kidnapping charges with related armed robbery counts. Authorities traced Apps through his debit card and phone records. Scott led investigators to the body Monday.

Body identified in burned truck in Orangeburg case
Orangeburg businessman Richard Michael Carter, 61, was found Sept. 23 shot to death in a burned truck in Santee. DNA confirmed his identity after the corpse was heavily burned. Two brothers, Jason and Leroy Glover, were later charged with murder, weapon possession, and arson in connection with the death.

Man arrested in deadly West Columbia apartment fire
West Columbia police charged 47 year old Daniel Dupuy with involuntary manslaughter after a Sept. 12 Granby Oaks Apartments fire killed 65 year old Jay Gross.
