Art of Giving auction to benefit United Way in Aiken

The Southside Gallery hosts the third annual Art of Giving auction on Oct 22 in Aiken to benefit United Way of Aiken County. Silent bidding starts 6 to 7 pm with live bidding at 7 15 pm led by Bill Dearman, featuring etchings serigraphs oils and limited prints. Proceeds support United Way and a raffle for Nightwatch exists. wine and hors d oeuvres served.

Jack-o-Lantern Jubilee Family Festival in North Augusta

The Jack-o Lantern Jubilee returns Saturday October 31 in downtown North Augusta on Georgia Avenue. Scott Sawyer of the Parks Department chairs a day of crafts, food vendors, games and live music from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Events include a Children’s Costume Contest at 11:30 a.m. and a Fashion Show at 1:30 p.m. The Men’s Pretty Legs Contest begins at 3 p.m. with Radio 107 as sponsor. Proceeds from a dunking booth support the American Cancer Society. a haunted house benefits the Department of Social Services Christmas Children’s Fund. Co sponsors include University Hospital, American Cancer Society, U.S. 107 and Jones Intercable.
