Horace McGee, owner of the Plunderosa, credits his miniature poodle Macho with pulling his wheelchair after a near fatal heart condition. The untrained dog helps guide the chair during daily yard rounds, bringing cheer during McGee's recovery and hospital visits.
The Business Council of 65 executives from major U S corporations predicts the economy will grow about 3 percent in 1987 and 1988 with inflation near 3.7 percent in 1987 and 4.5 percent in 1988. They expect a rebound in foreign trade and stable expansion despite higher rates and a recent stock market drop.
Two Aiken County Department of Social Services employees resigned after the board suspended director Richard T. Poore without pay following a State Law Enforcement Division and state DSS review of child protective case handling.
