Julius Oliver Blocker of Aiken faced a felony DUI charge after a car headed toward Aiken veered off at 3:15 am and struck a tree killing passenger Edwin Lamar Jackson, 32, of Graniteville. Jackson died at the scene. his death is the county’s 34th traffic fatality this year.

Shooting accident injures girl in Wagener
