Nepal crowns 3 year old Trishna Shakya Kumari living goddess
The 3-year-old Trishna Shakya is chosen as Nepal’s new Kumari, the living goddess revered by Hindus and Buddhists. She was carried to the temple palace in Kathmandu amid crowds during the Dasain festival, to live there until puberty, while her predecessor Matina Shakya left the palace after the ceremony.
