City of Aiken dodges heavy rains and worst weather north
The Alley project in Aiken faced a weekend issue but surrounding rainfall caused few problems. Engineering director George Grinton said Aiken avoided water main breaks and major damage, with only a few downed trees reported. The Alley, a $1.25 million renovation, includes underground utilities and storm water improvements.
