David Mark Hill sits in the Richmond County Detention Center awaiting transfer. Officials say he will likely be moved to a correctional institution medical facility in Columbia on Wednesday. Police link him to the September 16 deaths of three Department of Social Service workers in North Augusta. The gunshot wound in the mouth inflated the case.

Aiken County parents accuse a substitute driver of leaving their 4-year-old daughter on a bus for over two hours after the driver stopped for fuel and could not locate the family home. The Rev. Mark Barber and his wife say the incident caused distress and ongoing issues for their child. County school officials apologized and called the events unfortu nate.
