Evangelist Jenkins Awarded $75,000 in Fire Losses
Evangelist Leroy Jenkins received 75,000 from Aetna Casualty and Surety Co in a Jasper County civil case over an April 1978 fire. The jury deliberated about five hours before verdict under Circuit Judge Luke Brown. Jenkins plans to donate 10,000 to Greenwood Christian Community School while he serves a 12 year sentence for conspiracy to commit arson and assault.
