A man attempting to hitch a ride on a Northwest Airlines commuter plane fell about 300 feet after takeoff from Barkley AFB Airport. The aircraft was about 150 mph when the passenger dropped to the ground. Deputies planned to speak with flight passengers to identify him.
Imelda Marcos says she will return to the Philippines Oct 19 without her husband Ferdinand Marcos's remains. She cites Philippine ban on the body and threats of seizure or burning as reasons, though officials deny plans to burn the remains. Marcos died in exile in Hawaii in 1989.
