Senior 77-year-old athlete marks 100th long distance race
Aiken native Pat Hall crossed the finish line four days before her 77th birthday to complete her 100th long distance race in seven years. She dedicates each mile to friends who cannot run due to illness and says she will run as long as her body lets her. Hall now lives in Warner Robins, Georgia, and credits her son and friends for inspiring her continued endurance.

Aiken chooses Character First medal design for 2015
The Aiken Downtown Development Association selected the Character First logo as the 2015 Ai ken Historic Medallion design. The winning image shows the little boy and girl under an umbrella atop Morgan Circle fountain in downtown Aiken. Avery Spears Mahoney announced the win at a farewell for former Mayor Fred Cavanaugh, who began the program and retired November 23. Rick Osbon succeeded him.
