Deacon Fremon Stalworth funeral set in Vaucluse

Funeral services for Deacon Fremon Stalworth, who died Sunday in Aiken County Hospital, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church near Eureka with Rev. Jordon Bussey officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Joe Hamilton, Herman Holmes, Hubert Smith, Milton Jordan, Thomas Byrd, and Bennie Long. Surviving are one brother Norman Dew of Sanford and four sisters Mrs Bennie Skipper, Mrs Albert Beverly of Conway, Mrs W W Splawn of Warrenville, and Mrs Carmen Kerse of North Augusta. Poseys Funeral Home, North Augusta, is in charge.

Augustus A. Strayhorn of Cypress California died Monday. Funeral services Friday at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Robert C. Faulkner officiating. He was born in Durham North Carolina and formerly lived in North Augusta, now a decade in the Los Angeles area. He was a retired pharmacist and member of the Methodist Church and Wilmington Light Infantry. Surviving: two sons Donald N. Strayhorn Cypress and Edward W.
