Over shoes aid safety training at Savannah River Remediation
Patricia Allen, a director at Savannah River Remediation, patented over shoes that strap to footwear to imitate a slippery surface. The device works with a mobile slip simulator to teach safe walking on ice like surfaces, reducing slips trips and falls among SRR employees. The program is part of a SRR team led by URS Corp with Bechtel CH2M HILL and Babcock Wilcox and subcontractors AREVA Energy Solutions and URS Professional Solutions.
