Graniteville man detained in multi store shoplifting spree
Alvon Tony Bennett, 44, of Church Street, was detained after allegedly stealing from Sears at Aiken Mall, Walmart, Dillard's, TJ Maxx, and Old Navy. Officers pursued him near Mundy's Corner after he ran from them on Whiskey Road. Bennett held about 150 dollars in Sears items, 75 at Walmart, 90 at Dillard's, 24 at TJ Maxx, plus unassigned items and numerous prior shoplifting arrests.
