Aiken police blotter reports multiple thefts and arrests
An Aiken man was arrested for disorderly conduct after intoxication at a Whiskey Road store. A 50-year-old woman faced criminal domestic violence charges after allegedly striking her sister at a Polo Drive residence. Seven propane tanks valued at 47 each were stolen from a York Street grocery. A 1987 brown and cream two tone Chevrolet truck with a CA tag 220CFR was stolen from Collier Street, valued at 3500. A lawn tractor was stolen from Whiskey Road, valued at 2000. A 19 year old New Ellenton man was arrested for possession of stolen goods under 1000 and disorderly conduct after being spotted with stolen items on Cherry Drive. A passenger window on Millbrook Avenue was broken with several items stolen totaling 150. A Palm Pilot was stolen from a South Centennial Avenue office, valued at 300. A 15-year-old Jackson girl was arrested for shoplifting at a Whiskey Road discount store with several beauty and writing items valued at 38. Building permits show numerous residential additions, renovations, and commercial projects across Aiken including BTM Construction, Clark Well Drilling, Luis Moreno Construction, Wolf Construction, ASC Construction, and others.
