Bargain seekers rush to stores for early bird specials
Shoppers nationwide lined up before dawn for holiday deals as stores opened early. At a Best Buy in Plano Texas Martin Clouser and wife led a strategy driven by lists and patience amid long lines and cold weather. Major retailers reported strong traffic with discounts on electronics and toys fueling the rush. The National Retail Federation projects a 4.5 percent holiday sales gain, below last year's 5.1 percent.
