Former hostages sue Moscow over siege damages
Two former hostages and the father of a third filed a lawsuit against Moscow city government seeking damages linked to the October siege at the city theater. They seek up to 1 million dollars each, under Russia’s anti terrorism law, while Moscow officials say the issue falls outside city jurisdiction. Two more suspects were detained as investigators describe narcotic gas and militant weaponry used during the crisis.
