Soviet Deserter Hides Seven Years in Siberian Woods

Alexander Plekhanov deserted from the Soviet army in 1983 and lived in a remote Siberian wood house for over seven years. He survived mainly on fish from Lake Baikal and traded with tourists for clothes and food. Tass reported he is in good health but aged beyond 26. No surrender date given.
