More than 100 colorful umbrellas lined a walking track at Virginia Acres Park to celebrate National Hospice Month and honor 115 patients who received Agape Hospice of Ai ken care this year. The event promotes hospice services and features Life Blooms Eternally as a floral theme.

Salvation Army launches Red Kettle and Angel Tree drives in Aiken
The Salvation Army in Aiken starts its Red Kettle campaign aiming for 60 000 over about 30 days through December 23. Bell ringers will operate at local stores and the Angel Tree, in partnership with Toys for Tots, offers toys for children 12 and under with drop-off days set for December 13 and distribution on December 18 and 19.
