Intensive search fails to find Jeremy Grice, a 3 ft 8 in boy weighing 40 pounds with blond hair and hazel eyes. He disappeared Friday morning from his Bath area home near Pine Log Road, last seen near the mailbox with his dog. Investigators from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office and local agencies conducted a wide search across Bath Beech Island area.
Volunteers from Bath Clearwater Jackson Beech Island and rescue squads from Belvedere and North Augusta join sheriff's deputies in a wide search for Jeremy James Grice last seen near his home. Capt. Whitehurst says a kidnapping is possible but not confirmed and investigators focus on neighbors and possible witnesses as heavy rains hamper footprints. Divers from Aiken tested ponds near the mobile home while locals use horses and trail bikes to comb brush and ravines. SLED distributes missing child fliers and urges anyone with information to contact the sheriff or SLED.
