City Council limits tire dumping at landfill and backs Tree City USA

Aiken City Council restricts tire disposal at the S C 118 landfill to cut waste and pressure. Tires may be accepted only if cut up. The council backs the Park Commission’s Tree City USA application and approves about $50,000 in bids and restorations for Public Works and Public Safety, including a 1964 Howe fire truck overhaul.

Facing death helps living more fully says Dr Frederick

He noted death of a spouse can be the most stressful life event and outlined common grief reactions and needs of the bereaved.
