Salvation Army Kettle Kickoff and Angel Tree Begin in Aiken
The Salvation Army opened the Kettle Kickoff and Angel Tree at Aiken Mall with a proclamation by Mayor Fred Cavanaugh naming Nov 21 Kettle Kickoff day. The event featured Augusta Corps Band music and a Jingle Bells sing along as Captain David Repass led. The group outlined aims to supply toys, clothes, and meals to local families, with gifts collected via the Angel Tree and red kettles throughout the season. Captain Angela Repass urged community support to reach more than 1,100 children and 600 families served this Christmas.
