Funeral services for Evelyn Leland Adams will take place November 24 2008 at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church Asheville NC with burial at Lewis Memorial Park. Visitation is November 23 2008 6 to 8 p.m. at George Funeral Home Aiken and Monday 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorials to Grace Covenant or First Presbyterian Building Fund. Adams 90 of Aiken died November 20 2008 in Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She moved from Pine Knoll Shores NC to Aiken in 2003. she helped found Grace Covenant Presbyterian in Asheville and served in multiple church and community roles. She was preceded by two grandchildren and a sister. Survivors include husband Horace Adams Jr and children John Nichols Adams Jr Horace Adams III Lucile Adams Craige Anita Randolph and others. He born in Leeds England served in Royal Army later worked for Air Liquide USA retired to Augusta.
