Aiken Rotary Plans Thanksgiving Dinner for Armed Forces

The Aiken Rotary Club schedules a luncheon Monday at Heart of Aiken Motel to honor all Armed Forces personnel. Fifty service members from each state will attend, with four enlisted men at the head table representing Army Navy Marines and Air Force. Consecration Set Sunday At New Church

The First Presbyterian Church of Aiken hosts a week of services starting 11 15 a m Sunday with the consecration of the new sanctuary Dr James L Doom of Atlanta will speak on Four Pictures of the Church and again at 7 30 p m on Consecration The service includes primary junior and youth choirs at the church.

Wagener Man Killed In On Road Accident

Aiken County reports its third traffic fatality in a week as 37 year old Frenchie Huff of Wagener died when his car overturned on Chain Gang Camp Road near Secondary Road 29 at about 6 p.m. Wednesday. Huff was a construction worker and survived by his wife and three children. Funeral services are set for Friday at Rocky Spring Baptist Church with burial at George Funeral Home arrangements.
