Jerry William Hall Jr., 21, of Batesburg Leesville, was arrested by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office on criminal sexual conduct with a minor charges linked to July assaults on a girl aged 11 to 14. Bond set at $20,000. first court appearance Jan 6, second Mar 3.

A child abuse case was reported at an Aiken elementary school after a student sustained a burned finger. Surveillance footage showed an unknown man in a Chesterfield Street backyard. A Whiskey Road store audit revealed stolen lottery tickets and cigarettes from two incidents. A Rutland Drive student assaulted another with a wooden stool amid a snitching dispute. A Palm Drive disturbance ended with a man sprayed with lighter fluid and a chase. both parties were arrested.
