Drive By Shooting Injures Five on Leech Island

A 12 year old was among five shot by a man driving a white car identified only as Carlos. Officers found two victims at the scene at 2 42 am and three others were taken to hospital by bystanders. Victims include Carey Greenwood 31 shot in right lower back listed critical, Anthony Thomas 21 shot leg and hip listed good, Willie Rogers 28 shot left foot, Robert Walker 22 shot left hand released, Lionel Madison 12 shot buttocks admitted. The report notes Thomas heard shots in front of a building before the attack.

Fall Ride in Hitchcock Woods Draws Aiken Driving Club

Members of the Aiken Driving Club led a fall drive through Hitchcock Woods on a sunny November day. About 20 carts gathered at Rye Patch and the Horse Show Ring before following sandy trails, with lunch at the Horse Show Ring and an oyster roast at the Clifford S. Gerde Carriage Museum. A morning drive led by Mac McMichael will be followed by a 1 p.m. buffet at Rye Pal. lunch costs 5 for adults and 2.50 for children under 10.
