Beirut Hospital Bomb Kills Seven In Lobbies Attack
A nail packed bomb hidden in a box of chocolates exploded in the lobby of American University Hospital Beirut killing seven people including the woman who carried it and wounding thirty seven others. Police say the device contained TNT nails and a rifle grenade. A wounded soldier described the detonator as packed with nails and noted the bomber was a nervous looking blonde seated near the elevators. Authorities were unsure if the woman knew the bombs contents. The State Department called the attack despicable and heartless noting no American victims.
