County Hears Atlantic Broadband Subsidy Proposal
Aiken County Council holds a 7 p.m. public hearing at the Government Center on a fee in lieu of taxes agreement for Atlantic Broadband a plan to invest 11 million dollars over five years upgrading land buildings and equipment Atlantic Broadband would be taxed at 6 percent under the proposed incentive. The meeting also covers park deed restriction relief for Herb Marshall Park possible future park acquisitions rezoning near Glenwood Drive and two prior readings offering incentives to SE Aiken LLC for Aiken Mall redevelopment.
