It weighs about 1000 pounds empty and 5000 pounds full and holds liquid glass poured from the Defense Waste Processing Facility. Hash Heffner says the piece blends education with nuclear industry aims to show how protection of community and environment is pursued. Keith Wood of AECOM Communications notes AECom supports Leadership Aiken County and that the canister highlights site history for easy public viewing downtown.
