Warrant issued for wife in biting incident case
A bench warrant was issued for Dorothy Jane Nickerson after she failed to appear for her first court appearance in Aiken County. Nickerson allegedly bit her husband during an Oct. 5 dispute over alleged infidelity, causing a severe cheek laceration. She faced third degree domestic violence charges with $2,505 bond set.

Andrew Siders recalls the Montmorenci B-52 crash of September 3 1975 in Aiken County. He recovered five pieces as a child. one fragment bears Lamp Driver Boeing Wichita dated October 2 1973. The B-52 from Seymour Johnson AFB broke apart after a fuel leak, killing three crew members. four survived.
