Fire department hosts Fun Day with community ties
The Suver tut Fire Department and Silver Bluff Community Development Association held a Fun Day at the Silver Bluff Fire Department on Williston Road from 10 am to 3 pm. Children enjoyed fish hot dogs chips pies cake and games while adults received smoke detectors. The event followed a community board meeting discussing a crime watch and fire inspections. The ISO rating improved from 6 to 5, saving residents over 8200 annually. The association and department also adopted a highway plan covering US 278 Silver Bluff Road and Green Road focusing on litter cleanup.
