Pence to head transition team shifts Trump admin start
President elect Donald Trump elevated Vice President elect Mike Pence to lead the transition operations as he pivots from campaign to governance. Chris Christie is demoted from top transition planner while Pence promises to build on Christie’s initial work and pursue fast White House staffing before the January 20 inauguration. The transition also adds Trump children and Kushner to an executive committee, prompting questions about family roles and business conflicts.
