The Savannah River Site gets about 318 million dollars in temporary funding through a FY 2014 continuing resolution to support Environmental programs and other missions. The 107 day funding period ends January 15, based on the FY 2013 level, with full funding needed for most work.

Dwight Bradham Sr and Dwight Jr stood together in uniform at the Aiken County Veterans Memorial Park for Veterans Day. Sr, a retired sergeant major, praised his son's choice to serve in the South Carolina National Guard and remembered brothers in arms and an uncle lost in World War II Belgians Massacre. The Marine Corps League detachment led the ceremony with a colors presentation, joined by the Aiken Public Safety Honor Guard and the Aiken Area Academic Homeschool Band.
