Master Chef Receives 60-Year Sentencing for 1984 Killing
Ray Allen Parkhurst, a 40-year-old master chef once at the South Carolina Governor’s Mansion, pleaded guilty to murder in the 1984 death of William Gilsinger. Johnson Circuit Judge Mark Loyd handed down 60 years in prison after Parkhurst confessed during a sentencing hearing. Gilsinger, 25, was found shot in the Driftwood Recreation Area near U.S. 31 in Johnson County, about 25 miles south of Indianapolis.
