The Aiken County Election Commission certified last week’s school tax referendum amid complaints over voter eligibility. Saluda County residents in the district were not included in the wording, prompting apologies from Sen. Tommy Moore and a possibility of a special election for Saluda County members. The district spans 81 square miles with about 1,800 Saluda voters. 10,576 favored keeping taxing power with the delegation.
