Vitamin supplements fail to prevent heart disease study shows
The Physicians Health Study involving 14,641 male doctors shows vitamins C and E do not prevent heart disease and vitamin E may raise bleeding stroke risk. Led by Harvard affiliates J Michael Gaziano and Howard Sesso, the trial divided participants into four groups receiving vitamin E, vitamin C, both, or placebo.
