Incumbents win re election in Edgefield County races
In Edgefield County incumbents held off challengers in four races. Councilman Dean Campbell won District 3 with 53.5 percent after 12 precincts, Sheriff Adell Dobey defeated Michael Rafield by 7,007 to 4,486, and Clerk of Court Charles Reel won 58.7 percent over Monica Pinckney Mims and Kevin Beck.

Man charged after found with runaway juvenile
Aiken man Aimen Stewart, 21, was charged after officers found him with a runaway juvenile at the Knights Inn on Richland Avenue. Investigators found a firearm, marijuana, and possible sexual assault evidence. The juvenile was taken for medical evaluation. Stewart remained in detention.

Georgia man charged with kidnapping and DV

Barnwell County voters approved a one cent sales tax for eight years to fund about 13.7 million in capital projects. The measure passed 5,055 to 3,936 with precincts reporting late Tuesday.
