Cumbee Center fundraiser drives Saturday charity race
The Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons was the real winner of Saturday's events, offering free confidential services for domestic violence and sexual assault victims. Organizer Sarah Tuccitto notes the fundraiser supports shelter, crisis services, advocacy, and counseling as funding tightens yet remains vital through donations and grants. Teresa Eddy attended with her family to back local charity efforts, with her son Zachary running in the Tot Trot for children under five. Tuccitto mentions considering a 5K for next year’s event.
