USC study analyzes evacuation gaps after Graniteville crash
The USC survey examined residents within one mile of the crash and those one to two miles away, detailing who heard orders, how they learned of them, and why some evacuated or stayed. Data from 2,747 surveys mailed in February yielded insights on reverse 911 effectiveness and call timing.
