Nixon Thurmond Lead GOP Sweep South Carolina

Nixon and Thurmond won big in South Carolina as the GOP gained at least 10 more seats in the General Assembly and carried all 46 counties. Ed Young helped Republicans win the 6th District while McGovern drew losses for Democrats in several congressional races.
