Scientists Breed Super Coral to Save Hawaii Reefs
At Coconut Island Hawaii researchers at the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology study assisted evolution to grow hardy coral that tolerates warmer and more acidic oceans. They transplant resilient gene lines to Kaneohe Bay and breed strong strains to counter bleaching.
