Police report a 30 year old man Paul Doyle shot twice at 224 Union Street North in Aiken after an altercation. Lenwood Ramsey, 20, of 228 Union Street North was arrested and charged with murder after investigation by the Aiken Detective Division and Patrol Unit.
Dr. Curtis P. Artz of the Medical University of South Carolina told a Rotary Club luncheon that accidental injury and death are the nation’s top environmental health problems. He cited 50 million injuries annually, a 1972 cost of over 32 billion dollars, and highlighted emergency care, prevention, and a national accidental injury registry as priorities.
