Fake Beanie Babies shatter get rich quick dreams
In Tallahassee Larry Jackson targeted a Wal-Mart crane machine at Village Square Boulevard, winning seven Beanie Babies thought worth $30 each. The toys were later deemed fake after a local dealer confirmed they were counterfeit, with Wal-Mart denying liability for the machine. Ty Inc. warns on fakes and provides a hotline for reporting bogus Beanie Babies.
