County Auditor Touts Stable Finances as Bonds Move Forward
The council accepted a Griffin and Wade audit without the management letter to proceed with selling 2.475 million dollars in general obligation bonds for jail construction. Finance director Frieda Walker updated the unappropriated balance to 130 thousand while noting revenue shortfalls but controlled spending to stay in the black. The EMS substation at A. L.
