Aiken County grand jury indicted Jonathan Jay Warren Brooks founder of Compass Academy on two securities fraud counts for diverting to personal use and for Compass Academy, plus a forgery count for forging an investor signature and a violation of the Securities Act for false statements. The offenses carry up to 10 years or 50 000 per count. Brooks was arrested in July and posted bail.
