Police officer Wilbur Quinn aged 25 faces felony drunken driving charges after an off duty patrol car crash in Ridgeland. Three teens were in the vehicle, including 19 year old Charlie Smith who was seriously hurt in Beaufort.
Prosecutors served notice they will seek the death penalty if Myra Pearson is convicted in the death of her 12 year old son Josh Pearson. She pleaded not guilty as details emerged of alleged brutality and a plastic bag used to suffocate the disabled boy.
