Summer Institute aids teachers in handling behavior problems
A five day program at USC Aiken trains about 50 teachers to recognize troubled children and connect them with social services in Aiken County. Coordinated by Natalie Fox of Public Education Partners, the series features agency representatives, presentations on StrengthFinders, and plans to expand to other communities with United Way involvement. Past participants reported feeling more empowered as advocates for at risk children and families.
