Man Defending Himself Found Guilty of In Law Murder
Johnny Brewer 33 was found guilty of murder in the 1994 death of Kelly Lynn Burbage in Red Bank. Prosecutor Tom Chase said Brewer killed, stole, set fire to the woman and then took her car to fund drugs. Brewer admitted the act but argued it was not premeditated. a sentencing date was set as the victim’s family pursued the death penalty.
