Lifesaving awards went to Chris Chavous Mark Narchol Jonathan Murdick Roberts Lori Butler and Felton Craig. Purple Heart to Billy Tucker. Citizen of the Year to Carol Vincent. Civilian of the Year to Martie Haywood. Posse Member of the Year to Dacre Stoker. Reserve Deputy of the Year to Charles Thompson. Dispatcher of the Year to Lori Buller. Detention Deputy and Detention Supervisor of the Year to Tabitha Davidson and Jason Todd. a 2008 patrol car was awarded to Deputy Sherry Taylor.

In Aiken County Probate Court attorney Arthur Rich was appointed permanent administrator of Ann Smith estate after no objections. Judge Sue Roe said the hearing was unnecessary and noted Wilson M. Smith I, the eldest son, is not in South Carolina. Police have not named suspects and no new developments were reported.
