Tragic double shooting ends in deaths of McDonald’s worker and boyfriend

In Aiken early Saturday, Sharon Youmans a 50 year old McDonald’s assistant manager was shot in the Richland Avenue parking lot and died after life support was removed. Her boyfriend Terry Bamfield 51 died at their Eastutaw Street home from a self inflicted gunshot wound. An autopsy will determine formal cause.

Parade honors military veteran with Flying Tigers memories

Sanford agenda may wither as adjournment nears

Governor Mark Sanford faces a near adjournment with much of his reform agenda stalled. Dozens of Senate bills died in limbo while House measures lingered in the Senate.
