Wilma Kirkland received the 2000 Golden Deeds award from the Exchange Club of North Augusta for lifelong service. She assists church and community projects, drives church vans, teaches Bible school on mission trips, chairs youth programs, helps with church finances, volunteers at funeral homes and farms, and supports families in need. She and husband William W. Kirkland mark 50 years of marriage in June.
